The Future Vision of the Department

The Mathematics Department aspires to elevate performance levels in various mathematical sciences fields, enabling graduates to compete in the job market by providing a distinguished environment for education, learning, scientific research, and environment development, qualifying them for accreditation by encouraging their interest in the applied aspect. Faculty members are urged to link theoretical aspects with practical ones by selecting scientific terms within the department’s curriculum. Additionally, faculty members are encouraged to engage in scientific research to obtain academic titles, enabling the opening of postgraduate studies as an advanced stage followed by the desire to establish a specialized college in mathematics.

Scientific Aspect:

  1. Activate regular meetings according to a predetermined schedule set by the department chair and faculty members to follow up on any developments between students and teachers or even among faculty members, building a good relationship based on understanding, brotherhood, and loyalty, which will positively impact the department’s scientific progress.
  2. Encourage the department to conduct student graduation projects as much as possible.
  3. Establish a specific timeline for departmental council meetings to monitor the scientific and educational progress of students and enhance it.
  4. Organize departmental study circles according to a specified schedule, sending a copy to the dean’s office for information and follow-up.
  5. Hold research circles within the department with two groups focusing on different directions in pure and applied mathematics to accomplish a set of research topics determined later by department faculty members.
  6. Implement weekly quizzes for the upcoming semester.
